Remote 3D surgery pipeline measures under 50 milliseconds.
YUAN reports 15-microsecond capture and glass-to-glass latency below 50 milliseconds for a tested Jetson Orin, AV1, and SkyLink X configuration.

Challenge
Remote robotic surgery depends on the delay between the procedure camera and the surgeon's display. YUAN set a target below 70 milliseconds for the tested 3D video pipeline.
Solution
The tested system uses NVIDIA Jetson Orin, HDMI/SDI DMA capture, AV1 encoding and decoding, and YUAN SkyLink X transport. YUAN reports capture latency as low as 15 microseconds and glass-to-glass latency below 50 milliseconds for that configuration.
Jetson AGX Orin provides up to 275 TOPS for image-depth calculation and medical-image analysis. Any clinical use requires validation of the complete camera, network, display, robot, and software path.

This platform is an engineering component; clinical safety, regulatory approval, network redundancy, and surgical operating procedures must be established for each deployed system.
