Hardware-accelerated encoding, recording, and playback
NexVDO Record supports workflows that range from 32 to 64 surveillance channels to synchronized broadcast, medical, and financial-system recording. Container, bitrate, encryption, redundancy, and retention requirements should be set for the target industry and deployment.
The SDK exposes MPEG-2, H.264/H.265, and AV1 encoding and decoding. Teams still need to tune codec parameters, quality, bitrate, latency, and error recovery for their content and equipment.
GPU acceleration can increase high-resolution or multi-channel capacity compared with CPU-only processing. Actual throughput depends on the GPU, codec engine, driver, resolution, frame rate, and number of streams.
Packaging options cover formats used in different workflows, including MP4, TS, MPTS, and M3U8. Compatibility should be tested with the intended players, editors, storage systems, and streaming services.
NexVDO Record provides one API layer for encoding, packaging, recording, and playback across supported hardware.
Hardware-accelerated paths include NVIDIA NVENC, Intel Media SDK, and AMD VCE. Support varies by platform and driver, so teams should confirm the current compatibility matrix.
Recording modes include pre-recording, synchronous recording, time-shift recording, 3D recording, multiple data streams, and encrypted recording. Select modes according to the timing, privacy, and recovery requirements of the application.
The playback engine supports frame-by-frame review and editing, rewind, and replay workflows for broadcast, security, and game-streaming applications.
NexVDO Record is intended to reduce platform-specific implementation work, but production quality and capacity must be measured with the selected codec, storage path, and workload.
